In the quiet village of Hartola, tucked away in the mountains of the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, there was great harmony between humans and dogs. Dogs could roam around the village without the fear of being shooed away by humans. Instead they were always welcome. In this quiet hamlet lived two friends – Katie and Google. Katie was an English Cocker Spaniel who has a great sense of smell, and Google, an adventurous female Indie dog with insatiable curiosity. They lived in Hartola where there are full fruit orchards and beautiful landscapes.

It was a cute looking Indie dog decorated with eye-catching black and white skin patches. Distraught over the loss, Google ran to Katie for help on how to rescue her puppy.

Wasting no time at all, as she is known throughout Hartola for her remarkable olfactory abilities; Katie replied to Google’s request for assistance with an assurance that they will search every corner of the village until they find their beloved puppy. She took deep breaths through her nose so that she could feel different scents from around Hartola while concentrating on distinguishing smells coming from Google’s baby doggie.
It would not be the same. The two companions traipsed through the Hartola’s quiet walking paths and apple fields. At every step, she let them move closer to their destination by her scent leading them through the village’s country charm to nature’s embrace.
As the sun began to set behind the magnificent Himalayan peaks casting golden hue on Hartola’s orchards, Katie was excited. She paused under a huge apple tree canopy wagging her tail in great excitement. When Google also did not recognize it at first, she followed Katie’s gaze into the lush orchard where they spotted him.

News of Katie’s triumphant feat spread far and wide, transforming her into a revered hero among the residents of Hartola. From that moment onward, Katie and Google continued to explore the village and its surroundings, their bond stronger than ever. Whenever a challenge arose, everyone in Hartola knew they could rely on Katie’s extraordinary olfactory abilities to unravel the mystery.
